It used to be a pharmacy building called Apotik Van Gorkom before turning into a movie theater. The owner was Mr. Liem Ting Lok who also managed other cinemas; Bhima and Arjuna Theater. Kresna, Bhima and Arjuna are taken from Wayang characters-the traditional puppet from Indonesia. . Kresna Theater played mostly action movies such as Marlon Brando’s westerns, The Godfather film series, several Bruce Lee’s films, but it didn’t survive as it went bankrupt in 1999. . The last picture was taken in November 2016. You can find this abandoned movie theater at Jalan Pemuda, next to the post office. .
