It’s a year now since I took a leap of faith and became a freelance stylist. Thank you to my wonderful clients and to Electric Space, it’s been an amazing year! My journey to this point has been incredible, I’ve worked alongside formidable talent and learned so much from industry greats, I’m still learning, still inspired, still passionate about creating beautiful hair. 2025 will mark my 20th year in the industry! Hair History: My career really kicked off at @lauraleighhairbeauty where I delved into the thrilling world of competitions, I also had the chance to assist @eugenesouleiman at LFW 2006. By 2009 I was learning precision cutting at @trevorsorbie in Covent Garden and attending @lorealpro Academy. Highlights included assisting Trevor Sorbie MBE with wig cutting for his ‘My New Hair’ charity as well as working with @seminaraangelo_hair_artist_ and @tizidima at fashion shows. By 2013 I’d become a Master Stylist at @cobellasalon where I honed my cutting and colour techniques, leading me to @cwhairlondon in Fitzrovia, where I continued to learn new skills, becoming a ‘Curls and Coils’ expert and ‘Smoothing’ expert. I also shared my knowledge in @the.independent @telegraph @dailyexpress @stylistmagazine @ok_mag @fabulousmag @womanandhome @metro.co.uk and @dailymail with @carolynlnewman I’ve worked on makeovers on @itv @thismorning styled for @bafta awards, saw my colour on the cover of @vanityfair received a glowing review in @glamouruk and featured in @creativeheadmag with the final ever Charles Worthington ‘Art Team’ Collection. Just before I left CW I received the ‘Ambassador of the Year 2022’ Award. I now feature in @markwoolley1 ‘Electric Sessions’ at @electric_london_ as well as enjoy working on editorial shoots, look books, campaigns and @londonfashionweek with inspiring hair artists like @johannacreebrownhair THANK YOU to all these amazing artists and mentors (and many more who I’ve not named) who have shared their incredible skills with me 🤍 To mark my first year as a freelancer I’ve created my first ever solo collection - CLEOPATRA3000 coming soon… Photo: Getty Images / LFW 2023
