A second portrait of my Gran in her studio. She doesn’t paint anymore but all of her canvases and paints are laid out as if she were painting yesterday. You can see the program from my Grandad’s funeral displayed on top of the frame behind her. When I asked her to sit for a portrait, I wanted to recreate a beautiful photo of her that was taken when she was my age. This frame was taken in between moments but shows a more realistic portrait of her loneliness as she remains in the house they lived in together for forty two years.
