Here is a WW2 documentary I worked on as 2nd unit DP with my friend @clillard425 as main DP. I was mainly in charge of shooting the B-roll/reenactments which were pretty fun, I had to coordinate tanks going full speed or shooting « fake » grenades blowing off in the trenches. WW2 is a sensitive subject in Europe, you hear so many stories growing up so it was a humbling reminder to hear the stories from the veterans and survivors of Normandy. Every American should know that every year there is a huge parade in Normandy to celebrate the outcome of D-Day. French people will be forever grateful of this huge sacrifice. I heard some people saying that it is not easy to travel to France when you’re not speaking the language perfectly, might be true in Paris. Go to Normandy, people will treat you like heroes. #ww2 #cinematography #documentary #normandy
