What a ride. I’m hanging up Helen’s heels after 6 years in the job of a lifetime, and in the end, for all the stuff you saw, it’s the invisible parts I loved the most: the brainstorms with so many big brilliant brains, the 3am nights editing features down to the deadline, the exhilarating tightrope walk of balancing the art of the brand/the science of the business. I’m so proud to have been Cosmopolitan’s fifth editor-in-chief and to have contributed a chapter—thanks to the wildly talented team I’ve had the privilege of leading—to its legacy. The beauty of this job is that you get to run headlong into the future with it, and I am thrilled to see where @willahbennett goes. Today is my 38th birthday, and I feel such dazzling gratitude to have been where I’ve been and to think about where I go next. Thanks to all of you who have come along for the ride.
