Rabbit Island Shan Harris once asked me to make a film with him. I said write it and let’s do it. Less than twenty-four hours later he sent me a script, and less than two-weeks later we had wrapped shooting. We rented costumes and props, went thrift shopping for jewelry, and stained and dyed shirts. It was some of the most fun I’ve ever had making a project, and some crazy festivals liked it too. Never forget the thing that made you an award winning filmmaker (that is somehow not a joke).
