Two years ago my bests friends and I had this idea that didn't really seem that ambitious to me at the time. We wanted to open a coffee shop that served incredible food, and had a selection of amazing pantry items, and fresh produce, and a select number of other thoughtful necessities, and we wanted the design to be simple and elegant and timeless, and everything to be built by hand, and…. I really underestimated it. So I turned this into a learning experience, my own version of college, and I hit the books. Out of everything I learned though, the most profoundly humbling lesson was just how many talented, loyal and selfless friends I have in my corner who were more than willing to volunteer themselves as my professors, tutors and mentors. There was always a mountain of work to do and an army of friends to climb it with me. So to all of you who helped build this, the real who had countless conversations with me, who were just driving by and stopped to lend a hand, who answered my calls at all hours, who lifted, carried, pushed and rolled this thing across the finish line; I am forever grateful.
