Climate change and poverty intertwine, impacting children in impoverished areas. Vulnerable to climate hazards like floods and droughts, these children face disrupted access to water, food scarcity, and housing destruction. Health risks, including disease and malnutrition, are exacerbated by changing climate patterns. Education suffers due to school closures and damaged infrastructure. Economic strain reduces livelihoods, possibly pulling kids out of school. Poor communities lack resources for climate adaptation, trapping them in cycles of poverty. Climate-induced displacement leads to overcrowding, inadequate services, and exploitation. Addressing this demands both climate adaptation and poverty reduction to secure a better future for these children.
