@ameamrit “Then in Kamakura, I met the founder of Banromsai, an orphanage in Chiang Mai, Thailand, founded in 1999. Home to children who lost their parents to HIV/AIDS or contracted HIV from their mothers. In addition to offering shelter and education, Ban Rom Sai proactively confronts the stigma associated with AIDS/HIV within local communities. Formerly reliant solely on donations, they now create opportunities for locals through their locally crafted clothing label, @banromsai, channeling profits towards orphanage facilities and management. © ~ I'm forever inspired by such exchanges where our hearts unite in purpose, as human beings.” Understanding the ecosystem of this organization and finding ways to connect them to Indian communities (through @dharathfoundation )working in ethical ways of producing clothes, in order to keep on generating funds that help sustain the maintenance of the orphanage. 🌏🌱
