Celebrating 1 year since Appendage was released on @hulu !! Still my favorite project to date that I’m most proud of. 🖤 I love that we get to turn airbnbs and hotels into makeshift FX shops. I love that this job takes me all over the world and even spoils us. I love that every opportunity won’t’ be like the last. And it’s all because I chose to take risks, treat my art like a REAL job and make friends some truly rad people along the way. I know everyone thinks this is just luck, and it’s not to say I’m not grateful for the raw material that life presented to me. However, here’s all the work you don’t see.. - Always doing the scary thing - Trusting in my creative power - Financial Investments - Knowing and protecting my value - Falling in love with my art over and over again - Kept going forward even as the Lone Wolf - Literal (real) blood, sweat and tears. - Always being up for the challenge - Saying “no” - Prioritizing personal projects (especially non FX related art) - Prioritizing my mental and physical health Annnd the list goes on. By not giving up, and the support of my mentors I was able to be my own muse through it all. You get to be the muse too.
