She began making her own films as a writer and director and went on to study film directing at Vienna Film Academy, starting in 2018. Her short films were screened at numerous international film festivals, including Pöff Shorts, Regard, and Hof International Film Festival. Meike received the BMKÖS Start Scholarship for Film Art in 2023 and the screenplay scholarship Literar Mechana in 2024. We look forward to continuing the festival run together! #shortsthatstay
