A couple of weeks ago, I wrapped on In the Shadows, my first feature film as a DIT. I’m still processing the experience it’s been. Whilst challenging, the project was just as deeply rewarding. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of something so special and to work alongside such a fantastic team. This project came along at an especially opportune time for me, the last year for me was particularly turbulent and made me lose a lot of sight in why I do anything, but being submerged in this feeling of camaraderie that happens every so often definitely sparked my creative soul. Unfortunately my camera roll during the project is mostly lunch menus and skews heavily towards grips having a fun time and so this mundane image will have to suffice in surmising such a month.
