Still on cloud 9 from last Friday’s @varetsessions ! This was by far my biggest event! So much time, money, planning, risk, and effort went in to this one. At times I honestly felt a bit silly - like why am I doing this lol. I have a demanding and rewarding full time job and tons of other “more productive” things I could do with my time. Why all this “just for a party”. Though whenever I felt that doubt I thought about what all this really means and I gained a measure of comfort. At the risk of sounding cheesy - it’s not “just” a party. It’s giving myself and my friends a platform to DJ and share our passion with others. It’s building community. And above all it’s creating a unique and safe space to bring great people together to make new connections, feel good, have fun, hug, kiss, dance, smile, let go - and hopefully leave with beautiful and warm memories. All those sound like pretty important things in life to pursue ❤️ Each party has gotten better as we’ve learned things along the way and this event was undoubtedly the best one yet. Feeling so happy and fulfilled by the whole experience, and super encouraged by everyone’s feedback. Will continue to do these while it’s fun and it feels right. Excited to see where it all goes!
