“(LA)HORDE: Heureux sous son ombre,” until April 27, 2025 @thebassmoa is the first museum presentation of (LA)HORDE (Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer, Arthur Harel) in the United States. The exhibition curated by James Voorhies and Claudia Mattos centers on “Bondy,” a video portrait of the commune of Bondy, a Paris suburb. (LA)HORDE invited community members—representing a wide demography of age, gender, and cultural background—to film themselves dancing and moving in and through public and private space, directing themselves in venues of their choice.
