Meet Cherisha Surana (MPS Fashion Management ’24), with a portfolio of internships at Hermès of Paris, Altuzarra, and Bibhu Mohapatra, as well as collaborations with leading fashion houses during NYFW. Now, as part of the Women
@Dior x UNESCO mentorship program, she is channeling her passion into creating a transformative Dream for Change project. Her mission? To empower young women, inspiring a ripple effect of strength, courage, and opportunity across the globe.
Experiencing multiple internships gave her the chance to build invaluable industry connections, gain hands-on experience, and deepen her understanding of luxury fashion. Reflecting on her journey, she shares, “Going to every event, staying connected with professors, and building relationships is essential. You never know where your professors might take you! Their networks and insights truly open doors. Trusting and staying close to them was key in finding my path during school.”
At Parsons, she acquired the skills and experience that have been instrumental in her internships and current role. She reflects, ‘From fashion and technology courses to leadership classes, every lesson had practical applications’. She says, “The skills I gained taught me how to translate theory into action in real-world scenarios. It’s about how you take what you learn and apply it effectively in a professional setting.”
