For the second edition of Lucila’s Film Club, this Thursday at Genesis Cinema in London, the fashion designer Lucila Safdie (@lucilasafdie) will screen Barbara Loden’s Wanda (1970), a feminist classic which follows a working class housewife from the coal-mining community of Pensylvania as she goes on the run with a bank robber. 

For A Rabbit’s Foot, Safdie—who is known for her girlhood and cinema-inspired fashion collections—shares her Wanda-inspired watchlist, which includes Agnès Varda’s 1963 ‘Cléo from 5 to 7’, Antonio Pietrangeli’s 1965 ‘I Knew Her Well’, Chantal Akerman’s 1975 masterpiece ‘Jeanne Dielman’ and Laura Citarella’s ‘Trenque Lauquen’ (2022)
