. تم إدراج الحناء رسمياً في القائمة التمثيلية للتراث الثقافي غير المادي لليونسكو، كأحد أقدم وأشهر وأعرق عناصر التراث الثقافي في الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وتتجذر الحناء في عمق التراث الإماراتي، إذ استخدمت كنبات طبي، أما اليوم تعد عنصراً أساسياً لزينة النساء والفتيات خلال مختلف الاحتفالات والمناسبات.   Henna has been officially inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) - marking 16 elements of the UAE’s cultural practices on the ICH list.
