Two candles because I’m (30…2) and because the universe is giving me winks and wishes to celebrate. I made this list for you of 32 things I’ve learned about growing a personal brand on Instagram + a few life things. 1. Posting to Instagram is not a frivolous, silly thing. It’s expanding and freeing to share your life and your story. Social media allows more people to witness it all. 2. The most important thing is to begin and to keep going. Begin posting and talking about whatever that thing is you feel passionate about. With every post, you’ll learn and get better. You perfect your craft by doing, not by listening to every IG expert out there. 3. There is *always* someone (or a million people) who needs to see, hear, or learn from you. 4. “Meta Verified” isn’t worth it. But…I still pay for it lol. How would my ego go on after seeing the blue check next to my name? 5. Instagram is an amplifier. 6. Instagram is a manifestation tool. 7. It’s easier to work with brands than you think. 8. Creating content is easier than you think. 9. By showing up in big ways on IG, you’ll have a trickle effect on everyone around you. 10. The more you play the game (post), the more likely you are to find your version of success. 11. Virality doesn’t mean everything you think it does. 12. You are overthinking your content. 13. What would you write in your journal right now or what do you want to remember in this moment about how you feel, what you’re learning or who you are. Post that. 14. You are always an expert in someone else’s eyes. Post like it. 15. It’s not too late to use this platform to get what you want. “Oh, but influencers are oversaturated.” “There’s too many knitting accounts. I could never be successful.” JUST…NO.
