PERFORMANCE NIGHT
photos by @raik.schache 🤍

ALL GUESTS ARE KINDLY ASKED TO BRING FLOWERS

Over the course of two days, OSSUARY transforms SLUG Gallery in Leipzig into an immersive funeral ritual. Curated by @myen_000 , this event unfolds as a multi-sensory exploration of burial rites, occult practices, and the material manifestations of grief.

The event starts on December 6th with an immersive audiovisual burial service performance, featuring a collaboration of works by selected artists who have contributed essential artifacts to the ritual. This ceremonial experience merges sound, visuals, and performance, drawing the audience into a shared act of symbolic interment.

On December 7th, the gallery becomes a site of reflection. The remnants of the ritual — the performance setting and the ritualistic artifacts — are presented in an exhibition that serves as the event’s contemplative conclusion. At the center of this space is a temporary grave, installed as a focal point of the experience. Surrounded and interspersed with objects and artifacts connected to burial culture and the practice of Tulpamancy, the grave becomes a site of dialogue between tradition and speculative ritual culture.
