MOANA 2 🌊✨
From FRIDAY 20 DECEMBER

MOANA 2 continues the epic musical adventures of Moana three years after her initial journey. Moana, (voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho) is now a confident wayfinder, but she receives a vision from her ancestor revealing that the storm god Nalo has submerged the legendary island of Motufetu. To prevent her people from facing extinction, Moana has to assemble a diverse crew along with her loyal companions Pua and Heihei, whilst also reuniting with demigod Maui to help attempt to restore harmony among the islands…

The film maintains the colourful visual artistry and engaging storytelling that characterised the original, while introducing new characters and challenges, it retains the emotional resonance and cultural richness of the first film. This is a charming, entertaining musical designed for younger audiences, and they’ll definitely enjoy this familiar, adventure-filled sequel.

At the Rio Cinema we are committed to accessibility and we try to host as many accessible Family Flicks screenings as possible for hard of hearing and d/Deaf audiences, and relaxed screenings tailored for neurodivergent audiences.

HOH screening: Saturday 21 December, 2.00pm
Relaxed screening: Friday 20 December, 3.15pm
