Are you afraid of street photography? You're not alone. One of the biggest things stopping most of us from doing street photography is the fear of being seen photographing someone. Essentially, it's the confrontational side that keeps us from capturing these magical moments. You know that moment, right as you bring your camera up to photograph a street subject, and then you last minute freeze, and don't take that shot? There's something interesting I've learned over the past 10 years about this feeling. It's actually a signal that you are about to take a really good shot. So next time you are out shooting street and you notice that feeling arise, take the shot.

Here's why your photos suck (and how to fix them). When planning a photoshoot, it's great to create a clear vision of what you want to achieve and visualise how the photos are going to look. The problem occurs when we start to OVER think these ideas and in turn, do nothing. So, pick one idea and commit to it. Think less, shoot more.

Well, I just moved to a small town and here are 2 tips that will help transform your photos from boring to amazing: 1. Use the weather to your advantage. Go out when it’s foggy, rainy, or during sunset. 2. Find interesting lighting at night - things like shops & street lights.
