Gotham Gives welcomes students to another year of Computer Science for All (#CS4AllNYC) in the New York City Public Schools. We support training teachers so they can deliver high-quality computer science education to all of our public school students.

During the week of September 19, the Performing Arts Center of NYC is featuring a global concert series with the theme of “Refuge.” Over 30 artists will share their talents and play music that heals, connects and inspires. The concerts are based on Refuge as Home, Faith, School, Family, and Memory. Audiences can “Pay-What-You-Wish” to attend.

On September 26, Kerry Washington will appear at The Perelman Performing Arts Center’s (PAC) to engage in a conversation inspired by her new memoir, “Thicker Than Water.”

Gotham Gives applauds how The Perelman Performing Arts Center’s (PAC) has created pricing models so that their programming is accessible for all New Yorkers. Discounts are offered to teachers, students, US military, police officers, firefighters and nurses Those under the age of 30 are eligible to purchase $30 tickets for select events, subject to availability. Community open houses are currently being planned.

The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC) first season of programming begins in September! Gotham Gives was an early investor in this new cultural institution that is focused on the performing arts. The PAC celebrates the diversity of New York City through its range of creative artists and by its accessible pricing.

The High Line is asking the public for input about the 56 new proposals being considered for the future of the Plinth. The Plinth is located at 30th street and 10th Avenue on the Spur, the newest section of the High Line.

Gotham Gives is very proud of our grantee and partner, STRIVE, which has just launched its new strategic plan to scale nationwide and strengthen existing programming. The organization has secured $5M in funding to support this initiative.

Watch the highlights from the 2023 CS fair. Over 1000 public high school seniors from all 5 boroughs attended and engaged with companies, computer science organizations, and colleges and universities. It was an intense day of learning and fun.
