French duo behind M/M (Paris) (@mmparisdotcom), Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag have been shaping the visual culture of art, fashion, music, film, architecture, and design since 1992. Their work is an intricate web, whose convergence was, first and foremost, influenced by them. “Connecting the world of art to every aspect of modern society,” as curator Hans Ulrich Obrist puts it, is perhaps what Mathias and Michael do best.

Through their creative agency, they developed a visual language that defines the work of brands such as Loewe (@loewe), Jil Sander (@jilsander), and Balenciaga (@balenciaga), as well as long-lasting collaborations, like the one with Icelandic singer and artist Björk (@bjork), which has lasted over two decades.

Earlier this year, they opened the doors of their studio located by the Saint-Martin Canal in Paris and hosted Numéro Brasil for an exclusive conversation about language, creativity, relevance, and eternity.
