Wednesday No sonic events, but rather a special night of food from the minds of Dorjee. Tonight they'll be serving Crispy Korean-Filipino Pork Belly Ssam as a special along with the bomb veggie and beef momos. The special is like a big plate with make your own lettuce wraps with lots of banchan. OK! Thursday Another free DJ Night this time with the Tubby's debut of Milo Pomarico spinning Breakbeat, Techno, and Music Concrete! Heady Friday Tubby's holiday blowout. It's FREE! John Lee Shannon (Circles Around the Sun), vocalist and harpist (on keys) Mikaela Davis, New York bassist Scott Colberg (Margaret Glaspy, Calexico) and drummer Tony Leone (CRB, Little Feat to name a couple). Dose the Rondout and Dom will be playing fried out tapes, and Hoss Doctor will be spinning country dead 45s. It's gonna be a long long crazy crazy silky silky crazy crazy night. $25 Doors at 7. Sunday KINGSTON FILM FOUNDATION PRESENTS! Celebrate an outlaw country Christmas with a special screening of this newly restored documentary. Filmed in 1976 but not released until 1981, this cult classic features rarely-seen performances from Townes Van Zandt, David Allan Coe, Steve Earle, and more. Stick around after the movie for round two of Hot Dog legend Hoss Doctor spinning country jukebox classics. $10 at the door. Film at 7pm sharp

Howdy! Very mellow (event wise) this week. A good one for the “i hate bands” “wish you were just a bar” “don’t want to pay a cover charge” crowd. No cover Wed, Thur, Fri. Please come eat and drink! Tuesday an evening of ambient music! $10 at the door. MUSIC FOR FURNITURE is a 5-piece ambient supergroup from Catskill, NY. They are resident musical artists at Cafe Joust, where they play a 90-minute set every Monday morning. An experiment in attentive listening, Rodney Alan Greenblat, David Garland, Jimmy Garver, Kenji Garland, and Dan Kirkhus pool their musical perspectives to create spontaneous soundscapes using synthesizers, electronics, and woodwinds. We’re excited to have Music for Furniture taking a field trip to Tubby’s for an evening performance. LARRY LEGEND is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Kingston, NY who weaves vintage sounds, lo-fi production techniques, and elements of folk music into a quirky retro-future landscape. Larry will play a solo ambient set with Farfisa organ, Wurlitzer electric piano, and effects. FRANCESCA HOFFMAN is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, owner of Unicorn Bar, and founder of the Hudson Valley Brassroots Festival. Based in Kingston, NY, she is a classically trained flutist and self-taught guitarist, ukulele player, and percussionist. Francesca will present a brand new, never performed before ambient set on flute and loop pedal that she likes to call “Flute Loops.” Wednesday our emo night returns with mollyXmurder DJing the myspace soundtrack of your youth Thursday Football Friday no events! Saturday the final show for local band Grampfather. Opening set by Jack Manley. $15 at the door. Also there is a free shuttle running up and down Broadway on Saturday from 11am - 7pm. We are big fans of public transportation and think a nighttime shuttle running to all three city corridors would be a game changer for local businesses. Please consider hopping on and riding around for a minute if you have any time. Need to show the county that there is a desire for something like this.
