Caught the Polar Express last night.

This man still takes the time to make me a roadie breakfast sandwich before I leave for home—and before he leaves for yet another doctor’s appointment—while asking me, at 44 years old, if I need gas money. This man is my dad, and I love him. Not pictured: my mom, the woman behind the man (you know what they say about what, or who, stands behind every great man), in the driver’s seat of that vehicle, making sure he gets to that appointment safely. Remember, you’re a team, a coupla badasses fighting life’s challenges together. How lucky you are to have each other. We should all be so lucky.

I love the fact that walking into work and finding a box full of gently worn, impractical footwear sitting under my desk is normal. They’re the only item of Aveda model fashion I can actually fit into, so yeah, I tried them on. All of them.
