Magic at @mapstudiocafe Thank you so much to all of you who came to my very last show of the year and to @cyrusatkinsonmusic @alexjowiseman @ceeravsings for being such dreamboats to sing with at all times 🥹 The atmosphere in the room was so lovely, so much so that it felt like we were gathered all together in a cosy living room. Which is probably why I felt so at ease and why my between-song yapping reached new hilarious heights. I have always believed that as well as the big capacity, bigger band gigs it's also important to showcase songs in their stripped back format and for many of these tunes this is exactly how they started. All the lovely words from the crowd remind me that singing is a gift and that I am lucky to be able to do it. I don't have a first from music college or thousands of streaming numbers or a big shot manager and team but my voice and pen is what I was given. I have been using them for over half my life and I'm going to continue to use them, whether or whether or not they reach a bigger audience. But I sincerely hope I do and I sincerely know I deserve it. And none of that is to brag at all, it's to acknowledge my tendency to play small when I know this voice can and will do massive things. 'I want to thank you for truly seeing me' I'll leave you with these for now and some lovely words which very much moved me and I will spotlight some new songs over the coming days. I cannot WAIT to show you what's in store next year! Abs Xxx

Tomorrow! My last London gig of 2024 is nearly here. In case you missed it I'm bringing a cosy acoustic piano show to @mapstudiocafe accompanied by @cyrusatkinsonmusic, @alexjowiseman & @ceeravsings. I can't think of a sweeter way to close out the year. There will be surprises... 2 weeks today on 10th December I'm bringing my last show of the year to @mapstudiocafe. It will be a cosy, intimate listening gig to bring us all together and beat the winter chill before the year comes to a close. You'll all know I haven't released any new music this year, I've been busy in the background preparing so much for 2025 and reflecting on the kind of music I want to make. Full disclosure, I sometimes feel like a failure when I go a long time without releasing, but there's a season for everything. I knew deep down that I needed time to tune into my intuition, so this year was a writing season, an organising season, a saving season, a 'work out what matters' season. So until I can bring you something brand new IN JANUARY! NEW MUSIC'S FINALLY HAPPENING, you're invited to gather round the piano with me, @cyrusatkinsonmusic, @alexjowiseman & @ceeravsings. We'll be bringing you lots of songs and stories, many of them new, in an extended set and there will be plenty of time for us to catch up in between ❄️ One of my favourite things about putting on gigs is bringing you all together and watching new friendships and connections form in the room, this one will be no exception. Home for now 🏡 It was hard saying bye to my perfect little corner of N4 but who knows I might be back.. or might not? I was craving a life with less distractions. Going to see where the peace and quiet takes me. And the main beautiful realisation is that nothing is really permanent and I can be wherever I want to be. But first I'm gonna crunch these leaves and write an album OK?
