Over 120 top acts will be performing at Alcatraz in 2025, including more than a dozen homegrown bands. 🇧🇪 We feel it’s only logical to announce each of them individually, alongside the usual barrage of international artists who will rock the stage in Kortrijk next August. 🎸 First of all we are proud of the talent and quality our small country produces and in addition it’s simply cool to be able to showcase all those logos on a single bill for once. In recent weeks we’ve literally been inundated with requests from ‘local’ bands to play Alcatraz. As a result, we’ve had to make some tough decisions. If your band didn’t make the cut this time, please rest assured that we plan on being around for a long time and our 2026 edition will once again offer a forum for Belgian acts. Selections will start in July 2025 so who knows, we may be in touch. 🤘ANNOUNCEMENT ALCATRAZ 2025! 🤘 At this year’s festival, we announced 15 acts for Alcatraz 2025 and today we’re adding no fewer than 67 names to next year’s line-up. 🔥Meanwhile, @machine_head have been joined on the Prison Stage by co-headliners @kreatorofficial. 🎸 Once again, we have dipped into a broad spectrum of genres in search of niche acts that offer added value. The backbone of our festival formula remains a mix of styles, a combination of established and emerging bands, as well as a strong focus on atmosphere and conviviality. You may have noticed that the list of 82 confirmed bands doesn’t include any Belgian acts but that will change shortly.
