I went back to the museum to check out all the work in a calm and relaxed atmosphere (read: not a champagne fuelled opening) and to try to take some photos that would be a bit better than the ones my mum took last time. I’ve also included snippets from some reviews in the Danish media. Shoutout to Google translate who actually did a fairly decent job. I’ve highlighted the most important bits in green for your reading pleasure. One review failed to call me “young photographer” and I’m waiting for a public apology. 👋

We’re well into November and it’s usually a rough time of year for me. It’s boring, wet and grey and perhaps that’s why no one really wants to hire a photographer now - to be honest I’d also prefer to forget rather than photograph this bleak AF Monday. Anyway, I am actually working still, at least sporadically. I have, however, become incredibly bored and frustrated with this app. Almost every time I post something, I get a notification about how it might affect my reach and that I should probably consider deleting it. A foot, a closeup of two hands touching, a kiss between two men, or just a plain boring selfie can apparently be a threat to “the community” as long as it’s associated with my gay old ass. Imagine what earth shattering apocalyptic effects to the community it would have had if I were also brown, disabled or fat. 😳 Oh, the humanity! I don’t know who this basic ass community is that’s so afraid of us but I’m pretty sure it’s the same people who constantly try to sell me spandex onesies for adults, clunky jewellery, edible underwear and hair loss supplements - in that case I hope they know where I’d love for them to go. 🕳️ Can someone please just make a new app for sharing our work, and can we make sure it’s based somewhere in The EU and not China or The US? Sorry, just went off on a little rant there, I guess. I just wanted to make clear how very demotivating all of this is and how frustrating it is to still be depending to some degree on an app which seems to have totally flushed its original concept and values down the drain. I’ll try to keep posting stuff once in a while but I’ll allow myself to post unfinished work and crops of larger images that would almost certainly get me crucified in the town square or lynched by torch wielding villagers/bots if I were to post them in full. Here’s one.
