We've been joined this week by @torbengarlin director of concert piano technicians at @bechstein.official to lend his magic touch to our piano. He's a true master of his craft and it's been a huge privilege to have him here. He's adjusted the regulation to improve the playing feel and response, and also the voicing of the piano to add warmth, and the results are INCREDIBLE. We cannot believe what difference he's made, the piano has kept a lot of its character, but it's like a new instrument, so much richer and extended particularly in the mellower quieter end of things. As he put it, he's added the 'piano' to the 'forte'. He was also able to show us the original sales ledger for the piano when it was shipped to London in 1897 - just mind blowing that it has survived so long through so many musical changes and still remains as relevant an instrument as ever. We were also joined by some lovely folks from @bechstein.official working on a very exciting project together, which we'll have to keep quiet about for now, but watch this space...

The omnichord getting some love off of @andannsadub this week. We did eventually turn off the rock one preset I promise. Really great session with a wonderful band and a fantastic producer @gaudimusic. Was a fun vibe, hope to see you all again soon!

We've been super busy with sessions over recent weeks, so a bit behind with gear treats update... Trying to focus mostly on 'fun stuff' with purchases lately... 1 - The new Omnichord OM-108, greatest hits of classic units including the analogue and PCM sounds and extra chordy options. Lots of fun + sparkles (quick demo later in post) 2 - Shure M267 mic amp with Level Loc flavour, lovely drive and silly compression getting used on most things 3 - Slight upgrade on our Stam LA-2A - crazy authentic to the original and much nicer to use than our old one. Very yummy pairing with Flea 47, Neve 1073 for classic vocal chain 4 - Taioshi Harp - more Suzuki fun (will do a video of that too at some point, super vibey strummy, droney, melodic goodness with a pickup 5 - Behringer s101 clone. Hate Behringer and everything they stand for but this is simply too good to ignore, just about outweighs the shame. Maybe not. 6 - Boss DM-101, new all analogue stereo delay from Boss with I believe 11 bucket brigade chips.
