We keep exploring the repair queue vault with @tkocamera, the designer of the Pentax 17 wondering - if there would still be more new film cameras manufactured in the 2020s, what should they be? I made a quick Google forms for you guys to have your say too, and it has over 500 votes already! Thank you for giving input and spreading the word! There are three elements from Pentax Camera history that excist in the Pentax 17 released this year! I knew of only one beforehand, the 110 winding lever. The two others I didnt know. These might be subtle things, but boy it is a miraculous moment to be with the designer of a modern 2024 film camera @tkocamera in our repair queue and being able to just show the things in 1 minute. Would never have thought this day would arrive! Gentle reminder also about the Vote we have online to get a grasp what the community would desire most in their dream camera. We dove with @tkocamera for an hour to our repair queue to talk about film cameras, which ones are failing and which models/types would make most sense to manufacture in the 2020s. We started with diving into Pentax medium format history, but I pointed out that maybe something smaller and lighter than the 67 or 645 would make more sense nowadays. Even after we talked for a few days on the subject, it was ofcourse just our opinions, and that doesnt get us far. So I decided to do a community survey about the subject! I had found this vintage wind jacket a year or two back and wanted to gift it to him as a thank you for bringing back the first consumer grade film camera from a Japanese Camera brand in the 2020s! But, I also pledged to do a bit more. I wanted to help to figure out what the next new film camera should be, if the Pentax 17 succeeds enough to make it a possibility. 20€ for a tote full of camera gear! Tomorrow 26th October 10-16 at @kamerastorecom downstairs (old Foodora location). There is a whole big lot from a big photo store that went bankrupt - so a lot of new knick knack! There are also some additional sellers selling their high end stuff (like staff members and Finnish collectors), so there is a bit for everyone to enjoy. Also the truck Princess should be here, so bring your stickers (if you know what that means 😉).

Are there any stickers ? The princess has been here in Paris @salondelaphotoparis this week. She was feeling uncomfortable being on a show - not knowing if people like her or not. I asked people to put some stickers on her to make her more comfortable and people did ! Thank you all for making the princess feel 😍
