•29/07/21 • The most important day of my life until now . My dream started 6 years ago but my preparation with @maria_kyridou actually started only 4 ago . It has been an incredible , but hard journey . Naturally , the issue with COVID over the past two years made it hard for all. But I had to overcome one more issue . After the Europeans in Varese I suffered an injury which till this day we couldn’t accurately diagnose , a rib injury , maybe a fracture, maybe physiological but it meant that for two months I couldn’t train because of the pain and only bicycle was allowed . I feel the need to thank my family and friends firstly from sending every day positive energy from home- my doctor @giannis.christogiannis , main coach Mr. Postilione , coach and physios for helping me push through this injury , my rowing club @_kopilasia_ncth . Furthermore , a big thanks to my teammates from @yalewcrew , our national team and @stoiximan @progame @iroesgr that are so amazing and supportive ! Personally I believe that in sport you must remember that you are not only an athlete but a person as well. You need to care for others and be kind . It is not right to destroy another person’s psychology and dream . This summer, I stepped out of my comfort zone and into a single for a few days, something I rarely do. Each stroke and every challenge reminded me why I love this sport. Grateful for the journey and curious about what’s next.✨ #blessed
