My office served as a drop-off site for the @flushingbid annual toy drive, one of the biggest and best toy drives in the community! This afternoon, we distributed hundreds of toys to local nonprofits and to some lucky kids in the atrium of @tangramnyc after they had their picture taken with Santa. Thanks to all of the sponsors who, since 2017, have been helping the BID brighten the holidays for families. This year they raised $12,000 to purchase over 750 toys!

The Winter Wonderland event at the Flushing @emblemhealth Neighborhood Care on Kissena Boulevard is TODAY from 2 to 5 PM. There will be toy and food giveaways and lots of holiday activities for the kids. No registration required!

Thanks to a generous donation from @carpentersnyc, we were able to hand out toys to approximately 70 kids in the after-school program at PS 24 operated by @childcenterny. It was great to see the look on the children’s faces when they realized the toys were for them!

Thanks to Principal Chobot, Assistant Principal Mora, and school social worker Ms. Kazalas for organizing the Community Resource Fair at PS 214 prior to the school’s annual Winter Concert.

Thank you to everyone who attended my third annual State of the District address yesterday. It was great to look back at what we accomplished in 2024 and look forward to our goals for 2025. And an even bigger thanks to the Youth Orchestra, CYCNY and the Evergreen Korean Drum Team from the @ywcaqueens for providing the entertainment and @glownyc_org for once again hosting the event!
