The purpose of the Legends nights when I started these parties in the mid-90s at Rex club was to showcase and invite artists who hadn’t yet had the opportunity to perform in Paris but who, in my opinion, were true House music Legends. Artists like Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussell, and Jovonn were among those I sought to highlight. The Re-Set 30 years of Legends parties is a celebration, 30 years later, of my love and respect for these Legendary artists who, over the years, have often become friends and mentors. The format of the night is unique: three DJs playing together all night long, free from schedules or constraints, simply sharing the music they are deeply passionate about. I could not have dreamed of a more symbolic line-up for this first edition of Re-Set: 30 years of Legends. Laurent Garnier, mentor and brother-in-arms who opened the door to the Rex club’s booth for me in the early 90s, and Jeff Mills, a pillar of the Electronic Music that we love, equally unique and legendary for his immense musical production catalog as well as his genius behind the turntables.
