After the announcement of the closing of
@60waves.store , it’s time for me to write some words here.
I opened the place as a hub for music lovers, providing records, a studio, and so much more. It was challenging but also very satisfying to see how it grew and developed.
I was only able to continue till now because of all the people involved, giving everything to this project. It takes passion and hard work to keep going even in hard times, and yes, we had this the last few years, starting with the pandemic, Brexit, inflation, and so on. Still, we remained open.
We had so many nice moments—instore sessions, watching football together, just talking about music. I will always cherish this. It fills me with joy to know that we contributed to the music culture, providing the platform where connections were made, record releases were discussed, and new friendships started to bloom.
It is not easy to let go, but also regarding the time I could give into this project and taking care of myself, I’ve reached a limit.
So thank you to all that came over, supported us, played fabulous instore sessions, and contributed to running this. A special thanks goes out to Alessia, who was the heart of this over the years. She will handle all future 60waves online and offline activities.
60waves is not gone; it’s just different!
