Lately, something was bothering me about the actual state of the color grading in TV and Movies. Some trends about the "Netflix Look" or the search of "Perfect skin" made me feel tired. Then I realized that everything looks like the old colored pictures back in the days. I remember my grandmother having these in the walls, black and white portraits colored. They seemed to have a monotone skin. And thats what I had been feeling about the skin tones in movies or tv nowadays. As a colorist I love to have tools to work on the skin, color separation, etc., but I feel the imperfections its what gives personality to a color grading or style. At least, that what keeps me interested about experimenting with characters, narrative and color palette.

I'm very excited that the short film we had been working on got its final cut, thanks to all the work from the editor @paurupolo . Now moving forward to sound post-production with @g.r.florencia and VFX with @jull_abreu

During the pre-production of the short film we are currently working on together, the editor @paurupolo and I worked on a mood-trailer that could reflect the idea and feeling of the story so we could share it with the rest of the team. Using different movie clips and sounds, she was able to achieve what we were looking for, and even now, during the editing process, we can feel that the same mood is still there.

That beautiful mess
