Some of the drawings in my show, “ALL I EVER WANTED WAS FOR YOU TO BE NICE TO ME.” At @shelter_gallery until December 21. Go see it while it’s up! These drawings are 9.5x12.5inches pastel and colored pencil on black paper. If you’d like one, please contact the gallery! They all come framed. The moonbow drawings are hung by the body about to go through the 8 dissolutions, the death process in which the senses and elements shut down. It is a reflection of rainbow body, the phenomenon that at the time of death if you become enlightened, your body explodes into a rainbow light. One of the tapestries from my show, ALL I EVER WANTED WAS FOR YOU TO BE NICE TO ME, up now at @shelter_gallery NYC until December 21. Body Magma, “20x28”. Each strand is made of cotton piping that has been covered with wool roving and then wrapped with layers of threads. Each strand is then painted with a paint to rubberize it and then sewn on. The drum in the center is made of rawhide. This tapestry relates to DISSOLUTION 3, where the heat from the body slowly releases and the sense of smell disappears. The coordinating sculpture is shown in the last slide.
