The Swap Shop aimed to raise awareness about conscious consumerism, encouraging people to prioritise buying second-hand before making new purchases and to up-cycle items that no longer suit their needs.
Individuals donated pre-loved items that were swapped amongst colleagues, and up-cycled items in a workshop hosted by Lydia Bolton.
The event also showcased sustainable brands, celebrating the creative solutions people are bringing to sustainability.
Thank you to all the influential businesses who got involved:
@zephyrjewellery - “We thought that last night’s vibes were immaculate! Lots of people stopped by who seemed genuinely interested in the glass, the making process, and the history of the Seaham glassworks. Obviously, all had impeccable taste! Fab cocktails and a great sustainable message.”
@scrapping.ell - “I had a great time at the event, sharing my process with a welcoming crowd. It was amazing to see a company supporting sustainability and small businesses. Would love to return!”
@cydsline - “We are a big believer in the fact that you don’t always have to get something new to find something you love, and the Swap Shop was the perfect example of that! Thank you Exposure and THREESIXTY for hosting an amazing event, and for having us and our recycled denim”.
@fotu.ldn - “I think for me I loved the workshop and the swap shop thing was fun!”.
@lydiabolton_ - “It was great…thanks for having me!”
