Whether it’s a win or loss, this is a gust of wind in my sail as I continue to change narratives and inspire the generation above and below me to go off mute and make the change they want to see in the world. Everyone knows of my love for all things art direction. I’ve had my stint in production design; assembling crews of talented creatives to build sets for music videos, commercials, and films. I still hear the whispers of directors, now friends, urgently calling out “Art Department!” for those last-minute tweaks. Latest work for @ebaymotors When we get to work on advertising projects that speak specifically to the passions of our true human experiences we call ourselves lucky. Well, this wasn't luck. This is born from moments in the garage with my dad, watching hours and hours of car shows with him, and being shown that it's a responsibility to own a car. Our cars are an extended part of ourselves, friends and families. And that love for cars is a love that inherently connects us. This campaign is an important reminder to keep those project cars we’ve chosen alive, embrace the long nights in the garage, and that real car culture will always be a celebration of the creativity within all of us. Having the privilege to use Int'l Players Anthem by UGK ft Outkast is a dream come true. IYKYK. A song that uses a beautiful sample from Willie Hutch that embodies the insights of this creative. Shoutout to my mom for playing gospel music throughout my childhood as this choir rendition of the track wouldn't have come to fruition without her being so inspiring. Special thanks to @cliquamundo, from @somesuchandco who knew exactly what we needed to do to bring this to life. The heartfelt letter to your father was the moment we knew who we were making this film for. Elevating this work by shooting on film and making this for the car community by the car community by featuring all real car lovers within this film. What started out as a 150 feature car list turned into a car meet only one can dream of. Shoutout to @erapicturecars for nailing every dream car on that list. Including the 1986 Toyota Trueno. 😮‍💨 Bringing this campaign to life was no small task and I'm so proud of this whole team who believed in the concept right from the start. Thank you to everyone who attended Open Studio: Bank Moody one year ago today. To all of you who purchased prints from Visual Parables 001 Series I’m forever grateful for your support. 4 years ago @boudsey and I went on our first trip together to New York and my artist practice was never the same after visiting 45 galleries in 2 days. So many blessings have come our way in the past year and I couldn’t be more excited to start this new journey with @boudsey in NYC this fall. I wanted to recap this moment by showcasing the Polaroids I took during last years exhibition. I’ve gained so much from the Toronto community and have always realized we all wouldn’t be anything without supporting each other. Mentor someone younger than you, compliment each other’s work, give help when needed, share your resources, simply set the tone by pushing each other to get better at craft, expression and being human.
