Posting a selfie to trick the algorithm and finally share with you that my project ERASURE was selected by the University of the Arts London @ual_cci for the Responsible AI Music Award! I’m collaborating with amazing artists and I can’t wait to see it exhibited next year. More info to come 💖 “Erasure” is an AV installation that explores the complex relationship between voice, gender identity, and AI technology. It focuses on creating a speculative musical composition using vocal datasets from underrepresented queer and trans voices to address the bias embedded in mainstream voice-generative AI models. #ai #aimusic #music #ual #responsibleai

It was a very emotional process to compose the music for Ângelo de Sousa’s piece “Petroleiro a Arder” from 1975. Not only it was shot in my Hometown Porto, a city with which I have a complicated relationship, it also depicts in a both beautiful and hunting way the destruction of our ecosystems. I was inspired by the sound of ships horns, the sounds and textures of the water and sand, and the nostalgia of fado. Thank you @joaquimguilhermeblanc and @batalhacentrodecinema for the invitation to be part of this beautiful work 💗 In this video piece Angelo de Sousa documents the shipwreck of an oil tanker near Castelo do Queijo, Porto in 1975. After months of relationship, Lourdes decides to visit the country house of her parents, Vicente and Carl, and introduce them to her girlfriend.
