Sarah Michelle Gellar has had a change of heart regarding a potential Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot.
Back in 2023, the Cruel Intentions star seemingly shut down the idea of revisiting her iconic character new series.
“I am very proud of the show that we created, and it doesn’t need to be done. We wrapped that up,” Gellar told SFX Magazine in a recent interview, per CBR.
While Gellar seemingly closed the door to a Buffy reboot, the beloved talent shared a different opinion during her recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
When asked about the series and potentially coming back, the Wolf Pack star said: “It’s funny. I always used to say no because it’s in its bubble, and it’s so perfect.”
Gellar went on to say that watching other reboot series like And Just Like That and being part of the Dexter prequel series helped her realise that there “are ways to do it.”
“Definitely does get your mind thinking, ‘Well, maybe,” she added. “It could be anything. It’s a universe. And it makes you realize that in this world, we need those heroes, I think, more so than ever.”

Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Scott are on the prowl for their first-ever collaborative project 👀🏳️🌈
Over the last few years, the two acting talents have captivated pop culture enthusiasts with incredible performances and their dreamy good looks.
While Scott and Bailey have expertly crafted their own lanes in the entertainment sphere, the two talents are reportedly interested in working together.
In a recent interview for Bailey’s British Vogue feature, Scott revealed that he and the 36-year-old were on the lookout for a project to collaborate on.
“The search for us to be in the right thing together is on. Bert and Ernie, the movie is the frontrunner, it just depends on who’s willing to shave off their eyebrows,” he teased.
In addition to chatting about their potential film or TV crossover, Scott gushed about the Wicked star’s meteoric rise within the industry and their close-knit friendship.
“As well as being the most charismatic and gifted performer, he’s always struck me as someone who adores and prioritises his friends, and family and loved ones. That counts for so much in my book. It’s so wonderful to watch Jonny soar,” he explained to the publication.

Yuletide? Yeah, let’s make it gay! 🎄
Although Christmas is inherently camp, holiday films have been reluctant to embrace queerness. No more!
In recent years, the yuletide has been queerified with several networks and streaming services putting LGBTQIA+ stories at the forefront of Mariah Carey’s annual holiday, from Netflix’s Single All The Way to Lifetime’s The Holiday Sitter and Hulu’s Happiest Season; the latter of which made history as the first gay Christmas film released by a major studio.

Chappell Roan, Kamala Harris and Shein are among the most mispronounced words of 2024!
Language learning app, Babbel has teamed up with TV captioning groups to determine the words that newscasters, politicians and other people in the media had the most trouble with this year.
The words have been split into two lists: one for the UK, compiled by the British Institute of Verbatim Reporters, and one for the US, put together by The Captioning Group.
In the US, names like Vice President Kamala Harris, pop star Chappell Roan, and the fast-fashion giant Shein made the cut, alongside Phryge, the quirky mascot for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Meanwhile, in the UK, the mispronunciation list featured actor Barry Keoghan, the coffee shop classic espresso (yes, really!), the microscopic parasite Cryptosporidium, and Sex Education and Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa.
Babbel explains, "These words are packed with tricky consonant combos and often come from other languages, making them a real challenge."
