*update*🍊'GRAPEFRUIT MEDITATION" IS NOW OUT EVERYWHERE 🍊* link in bio! • hi hello bonjour! i am so so happy to present to you the cover and artwork for the vinyl of my upcoming debut EP "grapefruit meditation" - out june 14th!! since i am releasing this record entirely independently, for a while i considered setting up a crowdfunding thingy to help w the cost of making the record... but in the end, i decided to simply make the record available for pre-order. i know it's a difficult time, but if you like vinyl, and plan on buying mine, then pre-ordering it now, if you can, would help me a ton! i chose to work with a vinyl pressing plant in france (where i live) that only works with independent artists and am only pressing 200 records for now (50 of them being a super limited edition on color vinyl). i'll be shipping them myself, they will be hand-numbered, and will each come with a handwritten note, a sticker and a small painting by me. i poured my whole heart in this, and cannot wait to be able to hold it and share it with you 🥹 Cam Dales did the beautiful layout and graphic design, and my incredibly talented friend Brett Warren shot all the photos for the record, and more (there may be a video coming 🤫). will tell you more as we approach release day! thank you for reading, and more than anything, thank you for supporting independent music. bisous, maví lou #vinyl #madeinfrance #independentartist #indiemusic #preorder #singersongwriter #limitededition

the day we shot the music video for my song "lilas" was one of the softest and most tender days i got to experience. it was @_brettwarren_ 's first time shooting video, my first music video as a solo artist, and Maryn's debut on film! this song is very special to me. it is dedicated to both a loved one and a younger self. it is a change of perspective, a look in the mirror, an attempt at understanding cycles and patterns. it is a declaration of love and a realization that, sometimes all you can really do is say "i am here". thank you Brett, Maryn and @matthewtylerpriestley for making me feel held and for caring about this as much as i do. i am endlessly grateful. MY RECORD IS OUT!! 4 days ago, i celebrated my 34th birthday and the release of my first ever solo record - yes yes i should have posted about it before, but i think i just needed to take it in IRL and really enjoy this lonnnng awaited moment, without having to think about what to share on here. i will make several posts as i have many things to show and tell you about, but for now here are some pictures of the record, guitar, the prints i made for each record, my shipping station and of the first @lockelandstrings paris edition that happened on sunday, which was a pure moment of poetry, suspended in time 🎈 i am overwhelmed with joy, the algorythm doesn't matter, i am simply happy to be here, with you 💙 (but hey, i wouldn't be opposed to streams, shares, etc haha) love always, bisous maví lou
