✨CALL 911 WE GOT A BLEEDER✨✨ This has happened to me the dreaded foil pull just to see a foil bleed😤😤 either I painted to on the scalp or the product swelled or I pulled my foil a bit when folding. It’s ok we are not robots!! I know there will be stylists saying I NEVER GET BLEEDS! And I say bravo to you! But reality is some of us do with back to back highlighting. This Mohawk placement is one of my favs for a partial foil! No folding! ✨WHY AM I UPSET✨✨ Because I mentor so many wonderful humans out of hair school. They work so hard, and they are so hard on themselves it’s heartbreaking sometimes. BUT!!! They don’t even know how to cut a basic bob or the basic scissor angles, or techniques. WHY?? But they are shown perms, roller sets? Hardly anyone is doing perms anymore because of all the bleaching that we were doing. Roller sets are coming back and the big blowout sure, but not the Grandma roller sets they show in school!( no disrespect to Grandma) and I would say every single student coming out of school right now and the last 10 years it’s like a broken record. Their cutting is not strong. They’re scared to cut. These are the basics and foundations of anything you do to the hair before coloring, bleaching, balayage,highlights. I find it very frustrating that I have to retrain stylist out of school for years or that had even been in a salon or salons that didn’t mentor them . It’s all so sad and so much more work for salon owners once a student has graduated hair school. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I will say it is my passion to teach the baby stylists, so I’m not saying I don’t love mentoring. It would just be nice if the basics were actually taught of cutting in hair school. The basics of angles , over direction, finger placement, scissor placement. ✨TIPS FROM MY LIPS✨✨ This tip ⬆️⬆️⬆️has helped me when there’s a stubborn spot for whatever reason won’t lift like the rest! (could be medication, lotion, serums, water mineral deposits, damage to follicles in an accident, hormones, birth mark, etc) We don’t want to overall darken everything if the lift is slightly not there. My little spot toning does the trick! No remixing a whole bowl, just remix straight from the bottle with some of the formula already there.
