👋🏻 summer - now that it’s almost November and leaves are all over the ground, I guess it’s officially time to admit that my favorite season has come to a close. It was one of our busiest summers yet, making every dip in the lake cherished, coveted, and savored. As always, I’ll be looking forward to my first dip back 🌊

It’s almost my birthday, which means we’ve had our little angel girl for 8 glorious years 🥹 it’s been 8 tender, sweet years of me yelling “HONEY LOOK” every two seconds to @apdonnelly because I simply can’t handle how cute she is. The best, most pure joy of family is knowing someone so completely and intimately because you see them in all the ways no one else on the outside gets to, and that’s true of this sweet babe. I love to know her, I love to smush her, and I can’t imagine our family without her. Here’s to many more years of disrespecting her 😂

Since February, Alex has had his head down, working on the biggest project of his career. For the first time in our relationship, our relationship took a backseat in our lives. We became more focused on our own individual journeys than we had in the past. This has been both a challenging and a fulfilling experience. But we decided that we needed to devote some time to recentering our relationship in our lives, and so we, on a whim, booked a trip to Iceland to adventure in nature, experience an entirely different world, and experience joy, wonder, and awe together. I am incredibly grateful that we were able to do and see everything that we did, but more than that, I am so grateful for the time that we got to spend together. We didn’t get to properly celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary, and this trip felt like a proper way to honor the five years of devotion that we’ve given to our marriage. It’s an honor to call you my husband every day, @apdonnelly .

5 years of marriage! 5 years of choosing to grow together, learn together, and become together. 5 years of holding our union - and each other - as the most important thing in our lives. 5 years of learning to find the beauty, joy, and abundance in the daily task of being, of living. 5 years of making the mundane extraordinary. And in this last year, particularly, turning our attention toward ourselves to push ourselves harder than ever. And I couldn’t be prouder. I’ve never been more excited to see what the next 5 years of my life will look like. Thank you for the daily gift of your love, @apdonnelly

We experienced *totality* from the track of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was so uplifting to experience such an astronomical event with so many other humans, including my sweet @apdonnelly.

1 0 y e a r s - the same photo, taken exactly a decade apart. Wow. It feels like a lifetime, and like no time at all. What a moment to reflect on all our growth, all our seeking and searching, and to appreciate where we’ve landed. To be excited about the next 10 years we spend together. I love you, our life, and the fortitude that exists in our relationship because we built it. May it only grow stronger.

Israel was absolutely incredible. We ate so much good food with so many new, fast friends. We saw so many sights and felt so many emotions. I am so thankful to @honeymoonisrael for the opportunity to explore one of the oldest places in the world while exploring our internal landscapes, and figuring out what our Judaism means and looks like. The perfect way to ring in the Jewish year 5783.
