I don’t know what to say. Wow. That was the most special set of my life without a shadow of a doubt. The biggest and best and most giving crowd I’ve ever played to in the most idyllic location. There aren’t the words to express the sheer magic of @weoutherefest 😭♥️😩 Opening The Bowl stage on Friday from 2 pm, I didn’t know how many people would come through but within half an hour, there were thousands of you beautifully dancing and smiling under the gorgeous sun, beneath the most beautiful trees and it filled me with more joy than I can express. To open up for @abashantiofficial was even more of a pleasure and I’ll never forget this for the rest of my life 😧 I want to say thank you to every single person who came and partied. Every single person who came and said hello across the weekend and connected to the joy and love in their hearts amidst this very tricky time in our country ☀️ To every single person who worked behind the scenes to make this festival so special, thank you so much!!! Wicked afternoon spent in the studio with one of my heroes, Mr Dennis Bovell. He’s been playing me a bunch of unreleased vocal and dubby tunes from his forthcoming album which is out next year. I’ll be playing some of these dubplates at my @studiocrumb parties in the new year before the project comes out. Wow… the 2-week tour of Australia supporting @badbadnotgood is over and I simultaneously feel both charged with energy by the experience and melancholic with sadness that it’s over! 😭🙏🏽♥️ I simply have never experienced anything like this. That has been the most life-changing, eye-opening and encouraging fortnight of music, friendship and joy. LITERALLY EVERY CITY was a fucking huge vibe and every crowd came with intention to listen, engage and journey through the music in all of our sets! This does not happen everywhere and my goodness, that level of focus meant we went SO DEEP 🇦🇺✌🏽🤯 To every single person who came and shared these spaces in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne, thank you so much! It felt like the biggest milestone of my career to be playing my records and speaking about their history in these iconic theatres to thousands of you! From my Deptford Bunker @studiocrumb club nights that I’ve been running since I was a student, to the most majestic theatres down under… it felt like the same mission with the same energy but in a new place to new faces. The power of music and stories to spread across the globe - it really can heal the world 🌎♥️ I have been so struck by the forthcoming & friendly nature of Australians. I literally haven’t had a single bad encounter this whole time and have felt so welcomed by you all. Keep being the beautiful, spirited and connected beings you are! I can’t wait to deeply reflect on all my thoughts on @haseebiqbal.world radio on Wednesday at 10 am GMT! 📻🎤🌹 And OF COURSE… to the most beautiful band of brothers I could have asked to be on this adventure alongside, thank you to the entire @badbadnotgood team. I simply don’t have the space on here to express the support, love and value you have shown me but it has made me feel intensely emotional. And that emotion combusted on the final night in Melbourne when I couldn’t hold in the tears anymore. You guys are not only some of the best musicians in the world but truly some of the most beautiful and sincere souls I’ve met. I know you’re going to be doing this for a long long time… and after that tour, I feel like I’m never going to stop too! 👊🏽♥️🎶

48 hours in Perth to kick off the Australia tour!! That was an unbelievable vibe last night… what an amazing crowd at The Rechabite… so engaged and giving!! Thanks to all who came and journeyed through the music with me! Absolutely blown away by @badbadnotgood’s live show… the deepest artistry!! Such skill and practice shown alongside a spiritual chemistry that elevated that room to a really special place. So grateful for them having me join them on this crazy adventure 🙏🏽🇦🇺♥️ Had a great time in the afternoon checking out the beautiful @mantle_official shop and hearing all about their fascinating production processes… from Egyptian cottons to Japanese dyes and beyond, big ups @larzharry for all you’re doing and I’m excited to rock my waterproof parka!! 😎 Also super epic to catch an hour of silence on the beach on my own before the gig. It was the first moment I really felt like I was on the other side of the world, overcome by the sheer scale of this country’s ancient nature! 🌊 I also found it super cool to learn that Perth is the most remote city in the world… meaning it’s the furthest from any other city! The closest is Adelaide (a 2 and a half hour flight)… the same distance as London to Casablanca in Morocco 😯 Anyway, just landed in Adelaide’s 36 degree heat ☀️ Got a day to jam it before tomorrow’s gig!! Woiiiii I made it to Australia with my bags of wax after the craziest week of gigs and I simply can’t wait for this tour to kick off!!! Starting tomorrow with a SOLD OUT show in Perth!! It truly is the ultimate honour to support @badbadnotgood across the entire country over the next 2 weeks… the band I’ve literally listened to since I was in Year 10 ♥️🇦🇺🎶 Let me know if you’re local / have any tips across any of these cities… I’m so excited to get stuck in and I feel extra excited about the fact that my records have never travelled this far before!!! I’m looking forward to sharing the music that has changed my life with new crowds! My debut musical release!!! Out today 🔈😩🎶 The most surreal honour to share my first ever recorded piece… a short interlude on the new EP of my best friend @last.nubian 🙏🏽♥️ His project entitled We Celebrate Us is out now on @eglorecords and you can listen to it / buy it everywhere 👊🏽 I’ve been writing my poetry since I was 14 and it was actually how I got into performance way before I started djing. It feels really apt to have this piece as my first ever musical release… an ode to my beautiful city over the masterful music of Tre whose journey has been so inspiring to watch 💫🎶🔥 We’ve had too many good times over the years and this was really fun to make! It was also really lovely to speak to Tre in depth on the radio this week on @haseebiqbal.world, breaking down the journey, the influences and the ups & the downs of his musical path so far!! Halfway through my winter residency at @180.studios in collaboration with @studiocrumb and the mighty @devonojas 📻♥️🎶 Two sold out Sun Ra themed sessions tonight which will be my 16th and 17th sessions in this room of the year!! Very much looking forward to them. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed chronicling stories and anecdotes alongside music across this last year, diving into themes which inspire me and brining it back to the long-form.
