I just came across the only roll of medium format film I shot from summer and with it unlocked a world of emotions I hadn’t quite realized were left unprocessed. I took a leap of faith to live alone this summer in New York and ended up in one of the toughest points of my life, though I wouldn’t change a thing. Maybe in part a way for me to separate myself from shifting family dynamics that I didn’t quite know how to process. I put myself in a real depressive funk that has left me coming out the other side with pure gratitude for so many things. The people I have loved, lost, surrounded myself with and continue to surround myself with through joy and pain. The ability to process pain as a necessity for growth and for experiences as the inspiration for art. For family in all shapes and forms and for my health. I’m grateful for these pictures as a means to reflect on this chapter in my life that grew me in so many ways.

To my brother, my mentor, my day one, words can’t describe my gratitude for you @mbrichan. Happy birthday legend♥️ Been sitting on this footage since November of last year when @quishie, you and I took what we didn’t know would be our last trip up to our favorite spot for a while. Cut this up last night, reliving the memory of where we’d usually find ourselves on your birthday. So proud to have watched you grow by my side over the years as a friend and a brother. Love u buddy.
