reflecting on the absolute warrior that this year made me. whether I liked it or not. it was not a year I expected but it set me up for a great next season of life. from learning to truly care unconditionally for others, defeating my fear of flying, taking on Brazil alone, and getting the inspiration to return to music… it was a year of triumphs despite extreme lows. thank you everyone in my life, I truly love you all. ✨🌍

3 years ago (!!!) I released my debut record, my 17 track baby, #ScorpioSeason. This record was a long process which went through many changes in unprecedented times. Overcoming a lot of personal obstacles, setbacks, and changes to the world, I remember having one singular focus: to finish this project. I’ll never forget shooting music videos with minimal crews due to the pandemic, recording late at night in New York, the production sessions in fall of 2020 in a ghost town Los Angeles. I’ll never forget or stop being grateful for the incredible team of musicians, engineers, PR, my live musicians, and my glam team for coming through for me every single day we worked together and delivering this vision I had. This material was about a deeply painful, tumultuous time in my life which immediately led me to my next chapter out in LA, filled with many opportunities to learn from my mistakes and keep evolving. I remember listening and studying the dark pop and R&B records that inspired this album. I remember wondering if and when I’d ever perform these songs (I did and I had a blast every time I went on stage). I am so grateful that making this album led me to this current, happier, and even more ambitious chapter of my life. My whole world is different now. Which is going to make my next record even more beautiful and inspiring… I can’t wait. 😛 Until then, thank you everybody who worked on Scorpio Season. I cherish every memory from this time. Thank you to the fans and my listeners for blessing me with the motivation, love and inspiration to keep making art. Love always, Hunter 🦂✨🖤

5 years of “November”. My world was very different back then in 2019. Half a decade later this song is still very near and dear to me.
