LOVING DAY 
• Logline: An interracial couple’s wedding plans take an unexpected turn when the Loving v. Virginia case, which legalized interracial marriage, is overturned, leaving them to navigate the fate of their child.

“Loving Day” is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states.

I had the honor of attending the AWFF (Asian World Film Festival) 🎥✨ Where our film Western Avenue premiered and walked the red carpet as part of its 10th-anniversary celebration. This year’s AWFF was truly special. I felt the deep love and support for Asian cinema, and I was moved by the dedication of the volunteers who have kept this festival thriving for a decade. Their passion and hard work deserve immense respect and gratitude. 🙏 I’m especially grateful to those who continue to support Korean films and actors, creating opportunities for artists like me to stand on such meaningful stages. A heartfelt thank you also to the Korean Cultural Center @KCCLA for promoting Korean culture and supporting our cinema on a global scale. Working with Tarsem Singh Dhandwar, a visionary who has directed countless commercials and films since the 1990s, has been one of the greatest honors of my career. His charisma and gentle nature created an atmosphere on set that was not only inspiring but truly transformative. Every moment felt alive under his direction, and it was a privilege to be a part of that creative energy. The experience of bringing his vision to life was something I will always cherish. After watching my performance, Tarsem hugged me and said, “What a great casting choice; you are doing amazing.” His sincere encouragement and his commitment to working with the crew to elevate every scene were like a dream come true. I found myself smiling uncontrollably, grateful for every second on set. I am also deeply thankful for the opportunity to work alongside the talented actress Bora. Your passion and consideration for your fellow actors brought even more depth and warmth to the set. You made me never want to leave that space. I look forward to the day we can share the screen again on another project. Once again, it was a tremendous honor to meet you, Tarsem, and to collaborate under your guidance.
