JUSTAPOSE had landed at @mitu580 for @chamberqueer CONSTELLATION 2024 (Tickets in Bio). Five sculptures inspired by Yoshi, Danielle and myself are on display for the public to engage with by creating movement / poses inspired by each sculpture. Starting Wednesday June 12th at 10:30AM at MITU580 580 Sackett St. Brooklyn, NY 11217 InfraSound’s Artistic Director Yoshi Weinberg will lead a workshop and discussion about queer embodiment, performance, musical improvisation, and interpretation. Participants will explore sound through exercises inspired by queer composers like Pauline Oliveros, Sarah Hennies, and Julius Eastman as well as theater artist Mary Overlie’s Six Viewpoints. Yoshi will then lead discussion and conversation about InfraSound and ChamberQUEER’s collaborative performance “Dancing to the Music of You,” where musicians interpret and interact with sculptures from JUSTAPOSE.
