Hey so, there’s this band that I’m in… Our new album Ruin is out now, link in bio if anyone’s bored and feeling like they fancy some new songs. Loves, I’ll never lie to you, this was a hard one to make. @madeleine_hyland, @tomaddisonmusic and I have battled time zones, covid and many mad, difficult and beautiful things these last 18 months. But I would not be standing here without them. Their trust, patience and kindness made this happen. @theamazingdevil is what I do when I’m not farting around in costumes in front of cameras. We fight to make the music we want. And I’m so proud to work with people who fight so hard when I’m down and out. Thank you to @musicbytryhappy, @michaelcreanmusic and @sambeckermusic for all their sickening talent and hard work. And endless gratitude to the incredible @joelynntw and @nicholasrichardpeel for their unbelievable magic behind the camera. You’re all marvels to me. Thank you. We’re an independent band and proud to be so. If anyone has the pennies to buy the album over at bandcamp, it will mean the world to us and help us make more music down the road. We’ll of course pop it up on Spotify etc in a few weeks for those that don’t, but just know we’re so so grateful for your support either way dear hearts. You are our fire. Everyone had a bad hair phase... Right? With the world going mad - and the beautiful heart-wrenching response we’ve had from all our Dear Hearts around the world - @theamazingdevil moved the streaming release of our new album The Horror and the Wild up a bit. We figured you might like some fairy lights and fire in this dark shiny world. It’s out today on all the usuals (Spotify, iTunes and the like). It’s there if weary bands need welcome notes. Also I’ve gone totally bonkers self-isolating so would be just lovely to hear from you all. I’m full on eating ice cream with a fork right now. So. Stay home. Stay safe. Hey gang, The Horror and the Wild is here. It’s been a bit of a mad journey. But Madeleine and I are so excited to show you the weird and wild woodland world we’ve been inhabiting for the past few months. We hope you like it. @theamazingdevil is a proudly independent band. Our work comes from our own pockets (which means I get to be a total control freak and boss people about) but it also means, in the world of streaming and all that nonsense, we rarely make any money. It’s for this reason we’re releasing it on Bandcamp for a few weeks first before Spotify and iTunes (you can catch the link in my bio). If you’ve got a few pennies spare and would like to buy it, we’d be over the moon and you can do so safe in the knowledge that any profit we make will go straight into our next project together. I would like to thank the mad widdershin that is my closest friend @madeleine_hyland for basically putting up with me for months on end. As well as @tomaddisonmusic our glorious co-producer who shines so brightly, so endlessly, words fail me. You both mean the utter world to me. And I’d like to thank you, lovely gang, for all your kindness. There’s an awful lot of you, which I found quite difficult to process at first. But every comment and drawing (and tattoo! - you mad dear hearts) has got me through the woods when days got dark. I’m so so lucky to have you my devils. It feels like I’ve got an army at my back. If anyone would like to join me, I’m off to pour myself a glass of something special, turn the lights off and sink away from the world for a bit. Hey gang, Hope you all survived January, and you’re all wrapped up warm in duvets. With tea and friends. And maybe wine. Maybe lots of wine. As some of you may know, I’m releasing my second album - The Horror and the Wild - with my band @theamazingdevil at the end of the month. It’s been a joyous, mad and endlessly raucous journey to get it to you, full of heart and howling as all the best things are, and Madeleine and I are so excited for you to hear it. There’ll be pre-order stuff popping up soon, but to tide you over, here’s a moody pic of us doing our best to look cool in a wood. The messages and art you’ve sent us about our first album Love Run have filled our socks with song. So there’s more stuff to come, but we’ll probably post it over on the @theamazingdevil account. If you’re not all totally sick of my @witchernetflix singing, pop on over and we’ll do our best to update you on the whiskey wailings we work so hard to create.
