How strange it is to come here for such a short time.
To be simply an idea until someone else offers you space inside the waters of their womb.
To struggle through the birth canal and enter this world in a suit of flesh.
To walk upon sacred lands but not always feel connected.
To believe ferociously, then change your mind.
To meet friends and loose them.
To have family and un-choose them.
How strange it is to need love and know love
but not always allow love.
To suffer for year upon year under the illusion that you are anything but love.
Then, there are those fleeting precious moments however,
when you truly touch your place.
Under the clouds perhaps,
surrounded by trees,
against a setting sun,
and you trust.
You know.
Briefly of course because,
that
too
slips
away.
But perhaps each recognition sprouts a root.
Perhaps the rememberings wiggle at the heart.
Gently,
ever so slightly,
until one day
When your suit is weathered and your perspective soft,
You can hold that knowing.
You can honor that gateway through which you entered.
Thank the beings who journeyed alongside you.
And lift your weary arms in celebration
For all that was
And is
And continues to come.

Grateful for this season, for all the exquisite humans who color my world, for fall in all its glory and for celebrations of life in all its abundance. Sweet spectacular life and every sacred breath. Oh and pumpkins, I really like these pumpkins. 🎃

I dreamed an island into existence
One soft fall Saturday
Summoned it on ancestral winds
Dug up bones to crush for sand
And wept until my tears turned to tides
I am forever changed
By strolling upon its shore
By gazing out to the horizon
The wind against my face and hands
Air drenching my lungs
By it all around me
In me and of me
The immersion
The expansion
The all of it.
And by the people who loved me there
Blessed light, precious life, rich to overflow with magnificent delight.

Oh spring! Grateful to have celebrated some of this glorious season in New York sitting among blooms and connecting with treasured humans. So profoundly grateful for my soul connections, my family of friends. It’s been a bumpy start to the year, some friends dreadfully sick but on their way to healing. And one very dear one who decided his time on this spectacular earth was up and off he set on his wild adventure into the beyond. I miss him already. Hold your dear ones close. This life is so fleeting. Share your magic. Take the naps. Hug the trees and for the love of all the Gods be grateful for every tiny puzzle piece as is falls into place.

It’s my birthday on Dec 28th….
I’m taking a little social media break, I’ll be back online in February.
In the meantime I’ll be with the trees. Sitting quietly in the company of loved ones. Patiently scouring the inner chambers of my heart to bring forth my next creation. Resting. Nourishing the little parts of me that need tending.
Wishing you all a beautiful winter solstice, a gorgeous season of love and coziness and a magical start to your new year.
I am eternally grateful for all the love and support my little online community gives me. Thank you for every like, every emoji cheer and every kind word you’ve bestowed upon me this year. To be seen and loved is such a wondrous gift.
I’ll be traveling this year on my actual birthday so I’m asking all my loved ones and friends if they want to offer me any kind of gifts or treat please to consider contributing to my most favorite charity…. It’s called ‘FUNDA NENJA’ a Zulu name meaning learning with a dog.
It’s a remarkable charity teaching kids in underprivileged areas in South Africa to care for their dogs. They provide support and care to so many dogs and offer children a place to learn how to bond and nurture animals.
Please do read more about it and if you feel like spoiling me give these precious creatures and kids a chance at a better life.
